Meet Chelsea, CEO of CN Vision
Hi, my name is Chelsea Nguyen. I am a Professional Image Consultant and Certified Rehabilitation Professional (CRP) who teaches individuals who are blind or have low vision, or other disabilities, adaptive beauty and grooming techniques, along with essential life skills, to help them become more independent, confident, and empowered by looking and feeling their best in any situation.
Before becoming a vocational rehabilitation teacher and trainer, I spent over 25 years in the Beauty Industry as a hairstylist, colorist, and makeup artist. Coming from a family of professional stylists and salon owners, I’ve grown up in the salon business and developed an early love for beauty. From 2001 to 2016, I owned and operated Chelsea's Hair International, a salon and spa, and continue to work as an entrepreneur in both the beauty industry and public vocational rehabilitation.
While I am skilled in working with all hair types and textures for men, women, and children of all ages, I specialize in serving clients who are blind, visually impaired, aging, or have disabilities. In 2016, I founded CN Vision Image Consulting, LLC, which focuses on helping individuals develop the skills and confidence to take control of their own health and beauty needs, while embracing confidence and independence in every aspect of life.
My personal connection to the blind community began when my step-sister lost her vision due to a brain tumor that compressed her optic nerve. Wanting to support her through this life-changing experience, I started learning about blindness and how I could help her adapt. Sadly, she passed away in 2012, but her journey inspired me to pursue my work with even greater purpose. She taught me about the importance of unconditional love, forgiveness, and expressing happiness and joy at all times.
This experience led me to sell my salon in 2016 and fully dedicate myself to developing and teaching adaptive beauty techniques for people of all ages who are blind, visually impaired, or have disabilities. Since then, I’ve trained countless individuals on how to apply makeup without sight, safety when using heated styling tools, non-visual nail grooming techniques, and more.
Today, I combine decades of experience in hairstyling, makeup artistry, and skincare with my passion for helping others. I understand the unique challenges that come with vision loss and other disabilities, and I am committed to providing professional, personalized solutions that empower clients to look and feel their best on their terms, anytime, anywhere, and for any occasion.
